All hearing health care professionals, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), are obligated to participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes and need to annually accumulate CPD points. The purpose of these programmes is to enable professionals to continually update their professional knowledge and skills which benefit the patient and/or client. One way to obtain CPD points is to read a CPD accredited article and complete a question paper afterwards.
Inclusive education for children with hearing loss
Three modules of the Inclusive Education for Children with Hearing Loss book has been accredited with 3 CPD points each. The modules accredited are as follows: The nature of inclusive education (Module 6), Differentiated teaching methods (Module 7), Additional classroom support (Module 8).
